DocMovefilm è stato fondato da Andrea A. Rodoni-Lustenberger come produzione cinematografica d'autore nel 2006. Inizialmente per lavorare a progetti documentari propri anche in ambito produttivo. Sono state così realizzate diverse coproduzioni e la collaborazione con la rispettiva produzione responsabile dei film realizzati.
Nel frattempo DocMovefilm è attiva anche come casa di produzione d`autore e distribuzione.
DocMovefilm wurde von Andrea A. Rodoni-Lustenberger als Autorenfilmproduktion 2006 gegründet. Anfänglich um an eigenen Dokumentarfilmprojekten auch im produktionnellen Bereich mitzuarbeiten. So entstanden verschiedene Koproduktionen und die Zusammenarbeit mit der jeweils verantwortlichen Produktion für die realisierten Filme.
Inzwischen ist DocMovefilm ebenfalls als Autorenfilmproduktion und Verleih tätig.
